Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations and long term projects in our carbon accounting, carbon credit, and sustainability consulting programs. 

• Manage carbon credit portfolio and conduct in depth analyses of carbon credit projects to assess quality. 

• Stay up to date with relevant carbon market regulations and reporting requirements.

• Support partner sustainability goals through providing strategic recommendations and reporting sustainability data and insights. 

• Work closely with leadership to develop organizational strategy and assist with implementing processes to improve program impact.

• Track and manage expenses and revenue on QuickBooks.

• Assist with fundraising efforts and grant applications. 

• Record impact, achievements, and sensitive information for annual impact reporting.

• Create marketing materials and informational reports about our programs for stakeholders.

• Collaborate with the team to create educational content, including blogs and webinars.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• Extremely organized, proactive, and motivated to learn.

• Knowledge of climate change and climate justice concepts including greenhouse gas accounting, carbon markets, sustainability, and environmental science.

• Strong research, writing, and oral communication skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively in a flexible, remote environment. 

• Enthusiasm for We Are Neutral’s mission and a desire to grow with the team.

• Prior experience working with technical climate research is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full time, hourly.

Compensation: $18-$21 hourly wage, depending on experience.

Location: Remote, must be located in the US.
